Jerry rented the Moore farm from my mother after dad passed away.  During that time, Jerry would stop by to chat with her from time to time.  Sometimes those chats turned to the farm and the best way to do certain things.  She often mentioned how much she appreciated that Jerry discussed farming with her and listened to her advise.
