Life Story for Steven L. Dies

Steven L. Dies

Mr. Steven L. Dies, age 63, of Nashville formerly of Vermontville passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 9th, 2015 at his home.

Steven was born in Charlotte, MI on December 18, 1951, the son of Ernest and Pauline (Lynd) Dies. He was raised in the Vermontville area and attended local schools,

He was employed with Owens-Illinois in Charlotte for several years, then transferred to the company's Virginia plant where he was a Plant Supervisor. After retiring in 2006, Steven returned to the Nashville area where he could be closer to his family.

Steven enjoyed being outside fishing, and was an avid gun collector. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, and playing video games. His dog "Maggie" was one of his closest companions and they two rarely where apart. Steven loved just spending time with his daughters, sometimes doing nothing at all.

Steven is survived by three daughters, Christy Green, Jessica Dies, Stephanie (Abraham) Thomas
his mother, two sisters, Cheryl (Darren) Ayles, Pam (Dennis) Woodworth, two brothers, Dennis (Dottie) Dies, Charles (Julie) Dies, his close friend Tim Huver. 11 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his dog 'Maggie".

He was preceded in death by his daughter Brandi Dies who passed away in 2011, and his father

Memorial Service will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 3 PM on Friday, February 13th, with Pastor Chuck Johnson officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service beginning at 2 PM. at Daniels Funeral Home.

A luncheon and time of fellowship will be held at the Thornapple Lake Estate Community Center immediately following the memorial service.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the family of Steven
Dies.
