Frances Williams

Mrs. Frances Williams, age 92, of Mesick passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at home with her family by her side.

Frances was born in Great Falls, MT on August 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Lewis and Rozetta (McLaughlin) Starner. She was raised in the Cadillac area and attended local schools graduating from Manton High School.

She was the widow of Mr. Stanley Williams. The couple was married February 14, 1943 in Sault Ste Marie Michigan. They made their home in the Cadillac area for a brief time before moving to Lansing area where they raised their family. They returned to the Cadillac area after Stanley's job at Diamond Reel closed in 1973. Frances spent her working career providing cleaning and household services for clients in the Lansing area.

Frances and her family enjoyed being outdoors in Northern Michigan camping, hunting & fishing. She especially enjoyed time with family and her grandchildren. Along with her husband the couple had traveled all over the United States, and especially enjoyed their fishing trips in Canada.

Frances is survived by her daughter Frances Talton, two sons Allan Williams, Tom Williams, daughter in law Violet Holloway, son in law Darold F. Madden, and 17 granchildren, several great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. One special niece Lynn Addicott

She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 2017, her son Erwin, her daughter in law Kelly, son in law Donald Talton, son in law Otto Holloway, and grandson Stephen.

Funeral Services will be held at the Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 15th, with Pastor Robert Batterham officiating.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday April 13, 2017 from 5-7- PM at The Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Make A Wish Foundations.
