Janet K. Abbey

Mrs. Janet K. Abbey, age 73, of Nashville passed away Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at her home.

Janet was born in Hastings, MI on April 2, 1942, the daughter of the late John and Velma (Strimback) Bryans.

She was raised in the Woodland area attending local schools graduating from Woodland High School

She was the widow of Mr. Richard Abbey. The couple was married in Alaska and had been married over 50 years, when Richard passed away in 2013.

Janet enjoyed being outdoors mushroom hunting in the spring and fishing. She also enjoyed visiting the casino whenever possible. Janet lived all over the world following her husband Richard's career, Then settled in Northern Michigan for over 30 years.

Janet is survived by her step daughter, Sandy (Ted) Woodmansee, and her two sisters, Arlene (Mike) Norton, JoAnne (Ernst) Rice.

she was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son Louis Abbey, brothers Arnold, Ronnie, & Frank Bryans, sisters Helen Badder, Phyllis Thomas.

Funeral service are being conducted privately.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can me made to Great Lake Caring Hospice.
