Norma Jane Walliczek age 71, of Nashville went to her heavenly home on March 28, 2015.
Norma was born on September 27, 1943 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Newman and Marion (Miller) Shaw. She graduated from Nashville High School in 1962. Norma married Juergen Walliczek on June 26, 1965 at St. Edwards Church in Lake Odessa. Norma was a parishioner of St. Cyrils Catholic Church in Nashville. Norma sang in the church choir and had a beautiful voice. Norma was an excellent cook and baker, and her creations will be missed. Norma loved to garden and always had fresh vegetables ready to offer family and friends when they visited. Norma was a kind, caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends and was always doing for and giving to others. She was a faithful and beautiful woman with a kind and generous soul. She was a precious gift to her husband, family, and all who knew her and will be missed by them until they join her in heaven.
Norma is survived by the love of her life and husband of almost 50 years Juergen Walliczek; eight children, Marcele (Daniel) Edington, Stephanie (Craig) Altoft, Isabella (Michael) Price, Mary (Kenneth) Bishop, Matilde Voshell, Jerome (Jennifer) Walliczek, Angelo Walliczek, and Mathew (Lindsay) Walliczek; 15 grandchildren, Kala Bishop, Gina Bishop, Jonathan Voshell, Julia Voshell, Katherine Altoft, Ray Altoft, Valory Altoft, Danielle Edington, Grace Price, Amelia Price, Maximillian Walliczek, Christian Walliczek, Gabriel Walliczek, Deidric Walliczek, and Keira Walliczek, and a great grandchild in route; sisters and brothers, Patricia Shaw, Beulah Erridge, William (Artha) Shaw, Catherine (Julius) Maurer, Joseph Shaw, Marie Baynton, Nancy (Victor) Schantz, Marylin (Ralph) Merchant, Jimmy (Bonnie) Shaw, and Walt (Vergie)Shaw; sister in laws and brother in laws, Harold (Mary) Walliczek, Norbert Walliczek, Sandra Walliczek and Edeltraud Gerhards. Norma is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Newman and Marion Shaw, her husband's parents Rudolph and Hertha Walliczek, her sister Mary Kersjes, brother in-laws Patrick Kersjes, Uwe Walliczek, Franz Gerhards, and her nephew Pat Kersjes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose Catholic Church in Hastings at 11:00 AM on Tuesday March 31, with father Stephan Phillips officiating. A luncheon will follow the services at St. Rose Church Hall. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Hastings, Michigan. Visitations will be held on Monday March 30, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and on Tuesday March 31, from 8:30 -10:30 AM at Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville, Michigan with rosary services on Tuesday March 31, at 9:30 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daniels Funeral Home.
