Beverly A. Allerding

Mrs. Beverly A. Allerding, 81, of Hastings passed away Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 at Thornapple Manor in Hastings.

Beverly was born in Charlotte, MI on August 7, 1933, the daughter of the late Merrill S. and Beatrice L. (Rose) Strimback.

Beverly was raised in the Woodland area and attended local schools graduating from Woodland High School.

She was the widow of Mr. Norman Allerding. The couple was married September 1, 1951 and made their home together in the Freeport where they raised their family.

Beverly enjoyed taking care of family and worked diligently helping run the family farm. She enjoyed working outside around the farm planting flowers and gardening. Beverly spent her free time sewing, and doing embroidery and needle point.

After Norman passed away in 1997 Beverly began working at Pennock Hospital as a Dietary Clerk where she served for over 10 years before retiring. She also worked for Calton Township and owned & operated Bev's Accounting and Income Tax.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Norma Sullivan, son,Gordon Allerding, two sisters, Alice (Vincent) Wernette , Donna Gardner, brother, William Strimback, Grand daughter Mary Bell Ann Chippewa great grandchildren Jesse McDiarmad, Harley Bennett, GivinSpirit Chippewa, and great great grandchildren Cyril, Kalijah, Nakia, and Eli

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 1997, sister Barbara, brothers Ted, David, and Cecil.

Funeral Services will be held at The Kingdom Hall - Jehovah's Witness in Hastings at 2 PM on Saturday, February 28th, 2015.

A time of fellowship and luncheon will be held immediately following the funeral service at the Hope Township Hall.

Interment will take place privately at the Freeport Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family of Beverly Allerding.
