Life Story for Geneva Rowe

Geneva Rowe

Mrs. Geneva Rowe, age 91, of Dewitt formerly of Nashville passed away Sunday, June 22nd, 2014 at Hazel I. Findley Country Manor, in St. Johns, MI.

Geneva was born in Light, AR on June 20, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Hester (Mahan) Brashers. She was raised in Arkansas and attended local schools.

She was the widow of Mr. Major Rowe who passed away in 1953.

Geneva took great pride in caring for her family and enjoyed watching her family grow. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time in her garden, sewing and watching the birds. When she was younger she enjoyed spending time with her family camping and fishing.

Geneva is survived by her daughter, Sandra Zinger, three sons Bud (Evelyn) Rowe, Harold (Carol) Rowe, Henry (Nancy) Tate, her sister, Wanda Slatton, former daughter in-law Dorothy Rowe and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Major Rowe, son Ronnie Rowe, son in-law Jerry Zinger, 2 brothers, 2 sisters. and her grand daughter Camilla.

Geneva was a member of the Church of Christ in DeWitt where she enjoyed attending Sunday services. She had met many loving and caring friends there.

Funeral Services will be held at The Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, MI, at 11:00 on Thursday, June 26th, with Pastor Scott Whiley officiating.

Interment will take place following the funeral service in Deepdale Cemetery at 1:30 PM in Lansing.
