My Friend
Bob and I met at my first MML convention in 2001. I didn't know much of anything about the League and he took me under his wing. He encouraged me to continue taking classes in the EOA. That led me to saying yes this year to taking a seat on that Board. Every year at the convention Bob and I would, amongst the number of people there, manage to find each other.
A few years back, at the opening of the new Lansing office Bob talked with me about his wife's illness. He loved her dearly. He asked me to pray for her and we found a quiet room that was not being used and joined our hands and hearts in prayer. Bob was a gentle tenderhearted man.
Bob was my friend. Although, I only saw him at convention I thought of him throughout the year. I missed him at convention this year.
Bob served long and well. As he takes his rest, his legacy will live on.
My condolences to the family.
